Pacific Western Sales Product Safety Statement
Pacific Western Sales products are in compliance with the following US consumer safety acts:
1) Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA): the purpose of this Act is to lower the amount of lead that can be in Children’s Products (Children's Products are defined as products that are intended for children 12 years of age or younger and/or products with photos of children or children related text on any types of packaging. i.e.: Hang tags). This legislation limits Lead in Surface Coating to less than 90 ppm and the amount of Lead in Substrate to less than 100ppm on all Children's Products.
2) Consumer Product Safety Act, Title 16 CFR Part 1303 regarding Lead: paint and similar surface-coating materials for consumer use that contain lead or lead compounds and in which the lead content (calculated as lead metal) is in excess of 0.06 % of the weight of the total nonvolatile content of the paint or the weight of the dried paint film (which paint and similar surface-coating materials are referred to hereafter as “lead-containing paint”) are banned hazardous products.
3) California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act (Prop. 65): No significant risk levels for carcinogens and maximum allowable dose levels for chemicals causing reproductive toxicity – there are over hundreds of chemicals listed under Proposition 65 Safe Harbor Levels and the following is one of the examples: Accessible Lead Test: this accessible/soluble or leachable lead standard requires that all materials and components have an average of less than one microgram of lead per swipe. Only the materials and components that can come into contact with food and/or a consumer during normal use are subjected to this regulation.
